Pre/post-surgery rehabilitation with or without protocol

Pre and post-surgical rehabilitation aims to maintain and optimize physical capabilities in preparation for surgery, as well as facilitate the return to function and activities after surgery affecting the musculoskeletal, neurological, or cardiovascular systems.

This includes the use of progressive mobilization exercises, cardiovascular and respiratory exercises, muscle strengthening and control exercises, as well as techniques aimed at modulating symptoms and reducing inflammation.

Areas of application

  • Loss of mobility due to musculoskeletal or neurological disease
  • Muscle weakness after a period of immobilization
  • Reduced cardiorespiratory capacity before surgical intervention
  • Joint pain and stiffness after orthopedic surgery
  • Difficulty regaining independence in daily activities after major surgery
  • Increased risk of postoperative complications such as infections
